Some links on this site earn us a commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. That money funds the research. Our recommendations are formed from research first — and we’ll show you exactly where the money does and doesn’t flow.
The long version
What affiliate marketing is: When you click certain product links on this site (links beginning with /go/) and make a purchase, the retailer or manufacturer may pay us a percentage of the sale. You pay the same price either way.
Which relationships exist (as of September 2026):
- Beatbot — direct affiliate program, approximately 8% commission, ~$1,000 average order value, 30-day cookie.
- Aiper — affiliate program at 8–10%, 45-day cookie.
- Amazon Associates — 3% in the pool-equipment category, 24-hour cookie. Used for brands with no direct program.
These are the programs’ published terms as of September 2026; rates and cookie windows can change — verify current terms on each program’s site before relying on them.
Which relationships do NOT exist:
- Maytronics (Dolphin), Pentair, Hayward, Jandy, Leslie’s — we found no public affiliate programs for these companies. When we link to them, it’s via plain manufacturer or retailer links that earn us nothing. We recommend their products anyway when the research supports it — the Dolphin Nautilus CC is the benchmark corded robot on this site, and we earn nothing if you buy one.
What this means for our rankings: Recommendations are formed from published specs, owner-feedback patterns, and domain fundamentals (documented in our editorial methodology) before monetization enters the picture. The affiliate table above is a business fact we disclose, not a ranking input. If you ever catch a recommendation that looks shaped by commission rather than research, tell us — that’s a bug, not a feature.
Redirects: Product links on this site go through /go/ redirects (e.g., /go/beatbot/). These currently point to manufacturer homepages as placeholders and are not affiliate links until real affiliate relationships are established and the destinations are updated. The redirect file is commented accordingly.
No sponsored placements. We don’t sell rankings, reviews, or placement. There is no amount of money that buys a recommendation here — partly as a matter of principle, and partly because our methodology (no hands-on testing, research-only) wouldn’t support a pay-to-play model honestly.
